Point of Contact is a journal based around a flashpoint of interaction and the though process behind it. The idea comes primarily from personal interaction, but will serve as an umbrella term for how topics can interact with others if used. The goal is to map the ethnography of design across particular genres (clothing, buildings, media, etc.) and understand how those involved with its creations built towards this point. Entries are formatted almost like psuedo interviews where we map the process of creation in order to pull from it ideas, technique and questions that can be applied elsewhere. Similar to “The Brilliance” and “The Creative Independent”, PoC will focus on the WHY of interaction in the past, present and future. The point of it all is to map experience and pull from it a greater understanding of why we gravitate towards its usage.
